I was in Olovo in 1996 as part of Operation Joint Endeavor and TF 2/68 Armor. I lived at the lumber mill first and then at the truck repair facility. I’d sure like to get in contact with people from Olovo to see how life has been for them. I loved the area and the countryside. There was a kid who used to hand out by the gate, its been 12 years now so he would be in his twenties. Just would like to see how these folks are now. If anyone would write me I’d sure appreciate it. Best wishes,

Well, I am still there so if you need any information you can feel free to ask. Do you remember the name of the kid?
I can maybe find him. Olovo is in kind of a bad shape. There are not that many jobs and a lot of the young people are leaving and mostly live in Sarajevo. It’s sad to say, but it probably still looks like what you may have left it as, though the holes from mortars and such are filled, the roads have been paved, and some street lights have been put in. Oh, and the lumber mill no longer works, I think.
